2008 San Diego Diensthund Field Trip

Field Rules:

So Cal Working Dog Association is a private club that
welcomes friends in sport. We appreciate the efforts
and dedication of those who train and are happy to allow guests to our Thursday evening sessions. If you are visiting our club for the first time we would prefer that you call ahead; however, if that is not possible we require that you check in upon arrival with a So Cal member and introduce yourself.

Our sessions are available for dogs and handlers who are training towards trialing in the sport of Schutzhund.  Dogs must be handled by their owners on the field and handlers are limited to handling their own dogs, i.e.,  no client dogs or non Schutzhund dogs on the field at any time. We appreciate your full cooperation and know that visitors who wish to join us will appreciate our guidelines as they allow us to make use of our limited time most productively. Happy Training!

TRAINING RULES AND GUIDELINES

Guests will be placed at the end of the training list after all SCWDA Members. An occasional change in the working order may be necessary to avoid conflicts and will be at the Training Director's discretion.

Dogs will be allowed on the field in the order written in the book/board. When signing in, please indicate time of arrival.

Cost per session is $20.00 for guests. All guests agree that they have read and agree to the term of these rules and have signed a liability waiver in advance to working on the field.

No more than one dog in motion on the training field at a time unless approved by the TD.

All dogs must be crated when not in training unless prior approval is obtained from the Training Director.

For the safety of dogs and handlers, please keep all dogs ON LEASH and away from the entrance gate while in the parking area.

Dogs must be actively working in obedience to do Protection Training.

All Club Members are responsible to help maintain the club grounds (pick up trash etc)

Members are expected to help and support each other.

All members should make an attempt to arrive at training on time and be prepared to stay to the end to support your club.

Owners & Handlers are responsible for the actions of their dogs at all times while at SCWDA training sessions and must sign a liability waiver.

At any time the Training Director may stop training for a dog to determine the health or safety of the dog.

Club members who are trialing within three weeks have obedience field priority (use of centerline, jumps, etc.)

No smoking or alcohol is allowed on the training field at any time. Smoking is permitted in the parking areas, providing you dispose of your waste.

All dogs must be in good health and must be current with vaccinations.
